music technology & Industry Studies

About our program

About Our program

Traditionally a music program that only offered performance courses, such as band, orchestra, choir and piano keyboard, we extended the offerings to include music technology in the fall of 2020. With the ever-expanding role of technology and digital access to data in the music industry, we have encompassed industry studies in the curriculum to go beyond music performance and production.

In order to equip our students for a meaningful career in a diverse field, our vision of music technology includes general music education of reading and playing from music notation, sound creation and manipulation (sound design and foley), data collection and analysis (marketing), streaming and monetary conversion (royalty analytics), copyright and publishing, sync and licensing, basics of contract agreements and entertainment law, live music and touring, music distribution, artist management, and more.

To see what our program has to offer, view the video below where Amy was invited in mid-2022 to showcase about the program to an international webinar called "Heart to Heart", hosted by Soundtrap (a Spotify company).
