video game music

Working together with Mr Gilbert Ovanessian, director of Poly High School's computer science program, the AP Computer Science students design and code a video game that is then sent to Ms Lui's music technology class to create music that fits a corresponding aesthetic with specific music elements and criteria. Below are a list of the top collaborative student projects of this interdisciplinary partnership.

One sheets

Poly High School is incredibly grateful for organizations like Chartmetric in sharing their resources with our students in order for them to go beyond passively learning concepts. By allowing students to engage in real world projects and to recognize them for their work, such as these one sheets below, our students are developing the necessary skills to become self-published and self-managed artists and content creators.

What are one sheets?

One sheets are a single page document used by companies or individuals that summarizes who they are, products or branding, and often serves as a digital and visual resume. In the entertainment industry, companies, organizations, and artists often have such a document to share information about themselves to potential business partners, such as venues to book an artist to perform, or companies that sell products in order to pitch for sponsorship deals.

event promotion

Poly High School is incredibly grateful for industry professionals like Caroline Yim in providing students with real-life projects for students to experience promoting a show. Students were tasked with providing unique ideas on how to attract attention and potentially bring a bigger audience to a local show.
